The Caldene Plaited Leather Reins are made from beautifully supple vegetable tanned leather. The Caldene Plaited Reins have a plaited design that offer good grip ideal for the showing ring and other disciplines.
The Plaited Leather Reins come in two sizes: Pony size are 5/8″ wide and Full size are 3/4″ wide.
The Caldene leatherwork is eco-friendly, in contrast to most chemically tanned leathers, as chrome tanning produces toxic waste. The vegetable tanning process takes longer but ensures the leather is extremely strong and supple. The resulting leather has a beautiful consistent finish, is very strong, supple and hypoallergenic.
